Pelle Geertsen Pelle Christy Geertsen works as a Press Officer for the Danish JuneMovement at their office in Copenhagen. He also writes for the Danish (EU-) political magazine NOTAT. Geertsen became a Substitute to the Board of the JuneMovement in 2000, and then a Member of the Board in 2001. Since 2004 he has been a Spokesman and Member of the Political Committee of the JuneMovement. From August 2005 until January 2006 Geertsen worked for Jens-Peter Bonde MEP in Brussels. He stood in the 2004 elections to the European Parliament. Between 2003 and 2004 he participated in the Danish Youth Councils project on increasing first-time voters' participation in the elections for European Parliament. He has also worked to help increase young peoples' interest in EU and European politics. Pelle Geertsen was a Substitute to the Board of TEAM from 2002 until 2004. Between 1998 and 1999 Geertsen was a Spokesman for Youth Against the Union, Chairman for Youth Against the Union in Albertslund and Vice-chairman for Youth Against the Union in Copenhagen.
He has spoken at countless meetings around Britain and across the EU and also in Norway and Switzerland.
Geertsen holds a BA in Geography and Cultural Encounters from the University of Roskilde and is currently writing his Master's thesis. |
