Vrtovin is comprised of a series of small villages from the main road in the south to the high steep slopes of Kucelj. The territory belonging to Vrtovin, spreads from its lowest point polje, 120 metres below sea level, to its highest point at the edge of the Trnovo Plateau (Trnovski planota) which is 1250 metres high. The main village lies in the lower part of the area, between Malo and Veliko Brdo. Smaller settlements can be found scattered south and north of the main village.

The workshops and the lectures that are to be given at the summer camp will be held in a local school in Vrtovin.

Directions
The venue is located in Vrtovin, Ajdovščina, Slovenia. Shuttle buses from airports will be arranged for large groups of passengers. Otherwise we ask that participants make their way to Ajdovščina (if you are traveling by public transport Ajdovščina is only accessable by bus). In Ajdovščina there shall be a reception waiting for summer camp participants. From here participants shall be transfered to the venue.

Hotels
Hotel prices range from € 20 - € 25, per night, including breakfast. We recomend the following hotels:

Farmers' Residences
You can also choose to stay at one of the many local farmers residences, in the direct vicinity of the venue. Farmer's residences cost between € 20 - € 25 per night including breakfast.

To book either a hotel or a room at one of the farmer's residences we ask that you book before the 6th July. Accomodation will be avaliable after this date, however we cannot guarantee how close the accomodation will be to the summer camp venue.

Camp Site
If you like camping there is a local camping site which is reserved only for participants of the summer camp. All camping equippment (except sleeping bags) will be provided, but you are free to bring your own tents etc. with you. Breakfast shall be provided for those camping in the main hall of the local school.

Meals
Breakfast is included in the prices for accommodation. Lunch and dinner shall be provided by the summer camp organisers. They shall be intertwined with the cultural events (please see the "fun" page of the website). Meals shall be in the main hall of the local with the exception of the barbecues. The price for lunch, dinner and coffee breaks for al four days of the summer camp shall be included in the summer camp fee.

We would like to inform all passangers that flight prices tend to be cheaper during the week. Therefore we suggest that participants should arrive on the Tuesday or Wednesday prior to the camp and depart on either the Tuesday or Wednesday after. It has also come to our attention that when booking for large groups it is cheaper to book the tickets individually than for a large group.
